San Antonio?
"San Antonio is not urban enough", this is a statement that is going to fuel me. I never realized how disrespected our city was until now, we are the 7th largest city in the US, but they think we are a Pueblo. From hip hop acts to sneaker releases our city is seen as not Urban enough to have the ability to support. We need to unite as a culture (kicks, fashion, art, music, etc..) and prove to those outside of San Antonio, that we deserve respect. Sole Boutique’s Urban Fashion Mentality does not bow to the trends dictated by mainstream fashion. As its central themes are individuality, going against the grain and street culture, it is an concept which is evolving very rapidly and whose path and trends are somewhat unpredictable. In a mall oriented city Sole strives to set it’s own path and cater to those folks looking for diversity.

Putting a Square Peg in a Round Hole
People always ask for change and once you give it to them, they want it to be like everything else. We live in a mall oriented city (7 to be exact) and every mall has 3-4 shoe stores (Foot Locker, Foot Action, Champs, Finish Line, Shoe Palace) and for the most part these stores carry the same product. So why is it that we have people say to us "how come you all don't carry Jordan's or the same shoes as the mall?" That defeats the purpose of our store, our goal is to offer a different variety than the malls or others store. So please stop trying to put a square peg in a round hole. We are who we are, accept it. If you want Jordan's go to the mall and you will find them, we will stay true to what we set out to accomplish since day one. "At Sole Boutique we understand that most people are tired of the cookie cutter selection at the malls and we strive to bring a unique selection of product. We value every single customer that walks in the doors and it is our mission to provide you with an excellent customer experience. Come by Sole and let us help you stand out in a crowd." Thank you for your continued support, just venting.

Sneaker Palooza Volume 3
It seems surreal that we are approaching Sneaker Palooza Volume 3. Through hard work and dedication we have seen the event blossom and is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated events in San Antonio. We still remember the critics saying that we would fail, the mocking when Biz fell thru and how we where not a legit show. We kept focus and put our faith knowing that we walked in God's favor and blessings and that no weapon formed against us would prosper. We have been very blessed to have had Wale perform for Volume 1 and Mr. Bentley and Talib Kweli for Volume 2 and the support of the local artist, graffiti artist, bboys and girls, spoken word poets, dj's, performers and sneaker enthusiast. We are excited and working on taking the event to the next level and are very very humbled by your support. Our GOAL is to further raise the bar and continue providing an event that offers a platform for our community to express their artistic talents and lift that negative connotation that surrounds sneaker & street culture. Join us in spreading the word and will see you all March 11, 2012 at the Witte Museum....with a live performance by ????????
